Our back story
We are a group of ten friends who came together with the same idea at heart: good food, raised well, and shared honestly. We work with the farmers and families we know personally, sourcing from the Hurunui and wider Canterbury plains where the land, pasture and stock are well cared for. The meat reflects that, grass fed, naturally raised and handled with respect from paddock to plate. It’s local food with real roots, made for everyday tables and shared meals.
So where is the Hurunui?
A short drive north of Christchurch, through the picturesque Waipara Valley, brings you to the Hurunui, a region with a unique charm that sets it apart from anywhere else in New Zealand. Rolling farmland, braided rivers, and wide-open skies have made this place famous for its agricultural heritage and exceptional produce. A famous landmark is Hamner Springs!
Our mission is simple: to deliver great meat, grass fed, local farmer raised, proudly sourced from the Hurunui (we may sneak in the odd Canterbury farm too as we grow) for Kiwis to enjoy.
