FAQ'S

Where does your meat come from?
Our beef and lamb are raised on the rolling pastures of Hurunui and Canterbury. We work directly with trusted local farmers: pork and chicken are sourced from the Canterbury Plains, always free-range and cared for to the highest standards.

Are your products organic or free-range?
All of our meat is free-range. We are not certified organic at this stage, but animal welfare and natural farming practices are at the heart of everything we do. We source free-range pigs and chicken as we align with the ethics around rearing these animals.

Is your meat halal?
No, our meat is processed at an abattoir that is not certified halal.

Are your sausages gluten-free?
Most of our sausages are gluten-free, but be sure to look for the GF icon at each product to ensure it is gluten-free. We also provide extra details on our labels.

Do you sell wholesale?
Yes, wholesale supply is a core part of our business. We proudly supply restaurants, cafés, and food businesses that want to feature premium New Zealand meat. If you’re a chef, restaurateur, or retailer, we’d love to talk.

You say the boxes cover a number of meals, what do you mean?
Our boxes are designed to be versatile. Cuts can be used for dinners, lunches, picnics, or even quick snacks. How long a box lasts depends on the size and appetite of your household; for example, a family with younger children will stretch a box further than one with teenagers.

Is your meat fresh or frozen?
We focus on freshness first. Depending on weekly processing, some items may be delivered frozen to ensure quality is maintained. Meat can safely be refrozen; while there may be a very slight change in moisture, the flavour and tenderness remain excellent.

Do you deliver across New Zealand?
Yes, we deliver nationwide. Orders are packed with insulation and ice packs, then sent overnight by courier to arrive fresh at your door. Please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery, or leave instructions at checkout if you’d like it left in a safe place. Once received, refrigerate or freeze promptly.

What is the cost of delivery?
We keep delivery costs as fair as possible, and our current delivery schedule and pricing are listed after each product. This is subject to change as freight rates rise from our supplier.

Do you have a physical shop I can collect from?
Yes, we do, based at 54 Eders Road, Woodend. It isn’t a shop as such, but you can come in and speak to the staff to collect boxes and order anything extra. We are open from 8 am – 3 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am – 1 pm Friday. Just ring the doorbell and come in,  plenty of parking!

Do you offer dog food?
Yes, we create a nutritious dog mince made from a balanced mix of beef and offal. It’s a wholesome option to keep your pets healthy and satisfied.
