A thank you, and why this matters going into 2026

A thank you, and why this matters going into 2026

We want to take a moment to say thank you.

While our Give a Little campaign did not grow the way we had hoped, it still made a real difference, and that is what matters most.

Because of the support we did receive, we were able to provide Hope Community Trust in Rangiora with 200 meat trays for families accessing support, as well as give the 3 Hurunui Foodbanks boxes of meat. We also supplied meat for a shared Christmas lunch, helping bring people together around a proper, nourishing meal.

That food went directly into the community, where it was needed, and it was received with genuine appreciation.

To everyone who donated, shared the page, or supported us quietly behind the scenes, thank you. Every contribution played a part.

This experience has also given us clarity.

It has reinforced just how important access to good protein is, and how much more can be done when food businesses and communities work together in practical ways. It has inspired us to build something stronger, more structured, and more sustainable as we move through 2026.

We are committed to doing better, learning from this, and creating ways to support food banks, community meals, and families with dignity and consistency, not just at Christmas, but throughout the year.

Thank you for being part of the beginning.
This has helped shape what comes next.
